Today, they are continuing to open more terrain as La Nina shows her glorious face around a vast area of the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Before we give you the full details of what is going on in the area, check out this video straight from the team at Lake Louise.<\/p>\n<p>So along with the expanding terrain accessible at Lake Louise, many other resorts in the area are kicking things off this weekend as well.<\/p>\n<h2>Let&#8217;s check out the list of Canadian resorts opening this weekend:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Big White<\/li>\n<li>Fernie<\/li>\n<li>Kicking Horse<\/li>\n<li>Revelstoke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What a list! These are without doubt four of our favorite resorts in the world. More to the point, <strong>Revelstoke<\/strong> is kicking things off <strong>with a 140cm snow base<\/strong>. For many resorts, they would do anything to have this kind of base during the peak season. Photo: Twitter @bigwhite<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Big White<\/strong> also kicked things off with a more modest 76cm base and 3 lifts, though this still represents a slightly early start to the season and expectations are high that this will be another bumper season. Big White is known as one of the best family friendly resorts you can find, though at the moment, they also have something for the big kids. Head to the Happy Valley area at the base and check out full blown rally cars ripping up the snow in what is sure to be quite the site.<\/p>\n<p>Can you imagine some of the powder stashes as <strong>Fernie, Kicking Horse and Revelstoke<\/strong> start spinning lifts though? Opening at these resorts will more likely resemble a cat or heli ski trip as small crowds and deep untouched powder comes begging.<\/p>\n<h2>Weather for British Columbia<\/h2>\n<p>Many resorts of the interior have also reported a few cm of snow over the last 24 hours, though the smiles remain from the string of storms that pounded the area over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The forecast is suggesting most areas will experience light winds and <strong>plenty of sunshine in the coming days<\/strong> after a few flurries clear over the weekend. Temperatures should also remain below zero and a little cold in the mornings and evenings with the clear skies.
