Today was the best day on the mountain in weeks as fresh snow was greeted by a surprising dose of sunshine at Vail.<\/p>\n

Equally as surprisingly, lift lines were virtually non-existent after the crowds dispersed from the front lifts early in the morning. Considering this is Presidents Day weekend, this came as a massive shock to the entire crew as we thought it was going to be packed tighter than sardines in the lift lines.<\/p>\n

Parking was a breeze and movement around the mountain was simple and free flowing. If it is like this on one of the busiest days on the hill during the season, this stands well for Vail being able to handle the massive crowds at any time. Full marks from us.<\/p>\n

We measured a few inches of snow overnight, but the cold temperatures since the last snowfall ensured that there was now a nice base on top of the freeze thaw layer and you could hear the squeals of delight for miles as a result.<\/p>\n

Vail did not disappoint today. It really is a super resort and in our opinion, easily one of the best in the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
