Winter Park Snow Report Colorado 5th March 2011

The Wells Fargo Ski Cup at Winter Park was the location for Snow Report TV today as money was raised for the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). A great day of fundraising was had by all competitors and sponsors with the result being broad smiles, good times and a very healthy amount of money being raised for a very good cause.

Champion Kiwi sit ski athlete Quentin Smith was courteous enough to spend some time with Snow Report TV to tell us about the great day.

Conditions on the snow were equally as good today, despite some overcast skies, as the snow remains in excellent condition. There wasn’t an average run on the mountain today, with everything from the groomers, through to the steeps, bowls and bumps being in tremendous shape.

Even better news is that snow has already started falling across Colorado as of early this evening with a few inches expected tomorrow and again Monday, before a significant storm rolls through Monday night into Tuesday.

I am still suggesting over a foot of snow which is superb news for those getting out for a ski or snowboard, though the road conditions are expected to deteriorate significantly whilst the snow falls. Drive safely and allow plenty of time to travel over the next few days for sure.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
