Lake Tahoe is back to sunny and warm weather after recent snow, though today’s report from Kate tells us that there could be more snow in the forecast as well.

Temperatures have topped 50 degrees at lake level over the last few days melting away any recent gains from snowfall and ensuring spring conditions across the resort areas.

Fortunately, the huge snowfalls from a few weeks ago has ensured a solid base at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, after the mountains looked extremely bare for a significant period early in the season.

Fingers are crossed for a significant fall this week although opinions are varied as to the strength of the storms and also as to whether any precipitation will fall as snow, or possibly rain, especially down low.
