Coronet Peak Snow Report – August 10th 2011

Another glorious day of sunshine at Coronet Peak today showing off the New Zealand South Island for a sun drenched snow report. Not a single cloud in the sky and views as far as the eye could see greeted us once again on the mountain with temperatures nudging freezing during the day. The recent lack of fresh snow, a little rain, some strong winds and some freeze / thaw conditions have meant that the snow off piste is in very ordinary condition indeed, however the groomed runs remain a lot of fun after the slick and icy start to the morning gives way for more soft and forgiving cover by mid morning.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
