Colorado – Vail Snow Report February 17th 2011

Finally the snow starts falling again. After the last week provided some beautiful weather without snow, now the snow is flying again putting smiles on faces right across Colorado.

Reports of snowfall vary, though most agree it was around 5-8 inches in Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone and A-Basin.

Snow didn’t start falling heavily until after 5am today and fell heavily most of the morning. We are only expecting a small amount tonight before a dry day tomorrow and snow to return over the weekend. Accumulations are hard to pin down as we are expecting to be measuring in feet in the South of Colorado and also at Lake Tahoe. Around Vail and Breck, we are looking for at least a few inches, though the fingers are crossed.

Bottom line, get out there and get into it. Temps were only a few digits below freezing today, which were ideal and the wind was moderate up top, though non existent once you got amongst the trees and down in the bowls.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
