Bryan Checks Kirkwood Conditions – #EpicRace Day 11

There was always going to be a special piece of the #EpicRace puzzle for Bryan and it falls into place right now.

Although Bryan lives in Sacramento, his local mountains were not yet open when the EpicRace kicked off. Obviously this was a bit of a negative, though also allowed him to factor in a “return home” during the race itself, which was something the other competitors could ill afford.

Not only did Bryan get to sleep in his own bed, he also was able to spend some quality time with his girlfriend as well as his beloved dog.

Up at Kirkwood, the snow is a little thin on the ground with early season conditions and only one lift turning, however you can bet your bottom dollar, it won’t stay this way for long. In the short term a system is looking like delivering a few inches of snow in the next few days and it won’t be long before the weather pattern shifts to deliver the “cold smoke” Kirkwood is famous for.

There was one thing missing today. Coop. Snow Report TV has been on the search for this elusive enigma of Kirkwood for some time and today did not end the tale. Does he exist? We’ll have to wait until our next visit to find out I guess!
