Breckenridge Snow Report 10th February 2011

We have finally arrived at Breckenridge and can provide first hand snow reports.

After a few days of powder, we arrived today to a sunny day in Breckenridge, with some strong winds and lower visibility up on the peaks. Temperatures were very cold to start at -20C and a few below F and although it warmed up, the windchill was cutting straight through. The protected lower parts of the chairlifts were comfortable enough, though once exposed, the wind chill was brutal and you needed time out to warm up after some rides.

The snow is in great condition and you can still find some good deep tracks off piste. Groomers are fast, although look out for where the wind has blown the surface off as it can get a little slick.

Forecast for tomorrow is for warmer conditions in the single digits below C and in the 20’s F.

No significant new snow is in the immediate forecast for at least a week.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
