Ski Resort Conditions and Weather Forecasts

Vail Snow Report – 21 Jan 2014

Sunshine as far as the eye could see, a deep snow base and all terrain open, but how is the skiing?

Conditions on the mountain today were ideal for skier comfort as the temperatures rose above freezing and the sun did a great job of keeping you warm.

The down side is that the condition of the snow suffers with the repeated freeze, then thaw. On the plus side, there is some weather forecast to sweep through tomorrow night and possible Sunday, though there is nothing at this stage to get us excited. The best thing we can see in the future is the breakdown of this high pressure system currently blocking any snow in the west.

It’s obvious there is a great base at the resort with all lifts and terrain open, though a top up at this stage would be ideal.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
