Vail and Beaver Creek in the Same Day

What happens when an escalator breaks down at Beaver Creek? Today, Pete Kvist skied at both Vail and Beaver Creek and had a little fun in the Beaver Creek village in the process. Look out for the giant horn as well!

The temps at the base hovered around freezing, though it was quite a bit cooler up high and felt quite cold late afternoon with a light breeze.

Here comes the moisture again! Snow should begin again tonight in Colorado (especially the north). At Vail and Beaver Creek, we are looking forward to at least 6 inches in the next 24 hours, with the possibility of quite a bit more with a little atmospheric luck (although I would bank on at least a few inches).

Further north and in a line back to western Canada, the river of moisture returns, which will leave locations buried once again under several feet of snow.

If you are heading to Colorado resorts for President’s Day weekend, then you are in for a treat. The snow pack is significantly greater than average for this time of year and the sun is set to shine, so get ready for one of the best times of the year to ski.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
