Northstar Snow Report – Jan 31st 2016

Lake Tahoe has had a fantastic start to the season, but how are conditions after this latest storm? Pretty good actually.

Most Tahoe resorts are reporting 10 to 20 inches so far from this storm and the tail end of the moisture is still passing through the region.

Today saw 6 inches reported and although we questioned this number at some stages, there were also parts in the trees that certainly seemed deep and bottomless.

Meanwhile, pretty much everywhere in the west has benefited from the bounty of the current storm systems, with Southern Colorado scoring exceptionally well. Feet upon feet are falling at the moment, with the goods expected to continue for a few days yet.

Back in Tahoe, the snow should finish tonight before a weak storm passes through mid week making way for drier conditions that should last for at least a week.

For now, we’ll standby for tonight’s snow and get ready for an early start in the morning powder.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
