Today’s snow report comes from Northstar at Tahoe, where all the Lake Tahoe resorts have received an incredible amount of snow measured in feet over the last few days.

A very big, cold and snowy welcome to our latest snow reporter, Kate Thomas! Kate comes from the UK, though with that crazy addiction to snow, she has found her way to Lake Tahoe. Kate is a member of the Snow Squad with Vail resorts and we are stoked to have her as part of our team at Snow Report TV!

Kate will be spending the season providing us with all the inside information from Northstar at Tahoe and to be honest, didn’t have much snow to report about at all until this last week.

Lake Tahoe and surrounding ski resorts were relying 100% on snow making until this latest snowfall delivered, with the area struggling after Mother Nature’s obvious neglect of the area.

In the past few day though, several feet of snow has been recorded right around the Lake Tahoe region and things look completely different. We are stoked to tell you that season 2011/2012 is well and truly alive and the legendary snow storms providing feet of snow at a time have returned.

Kate will be providing Snow Report TV with all the latest information on terrain access, snowfall, forecasts and of course independent thoughts on snow conditions.
