Ski Resort Conditions and Weather Forecasts

Kössen Snow Report – Tirol, Austria March 3rd 2012

Warm weather has taken over in Kössen the Austrian Alps following a cold period that saw temperatures dip below -20 degrees. It has been a huge shift, with temperatures now climbing to double digits at altitude, meaning Spring skiing is right on our doorstep.

Resorts in Scotland have already closed for the season and without further significant snowfall, may not turn again this season. The good news is that temperatures are now dipping again and there appears to be a little snow in the forecast.

For now, enjoy the sunshine and superb views while they last. Be aware as well of a refreeze of the surface as this can cause crust, bulletproof snow and ice as well.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
