Ski Resort Conditions and Weather Forecasts

Keystone Snow Report Colorado 2nd March 2011

Keystone Colorado delivered another glorious day in the sun today with little winds to speak of.

The trade off is that temperatures were well above freezing and the thaw was on. Melting snow was all over the valley floor, though this provided some great spring like conditions to ski in exposed areas, through it was not warm enough to greatly affect the snow in higher or more protected areas.

We hope you enjoyed the sun today, because the clouds have already started to roll in and snow is on the menu until at least the weekend. 6 inches is likely over the next few days before an expected break on Saturday. Sunday to Tuesday is looking more and more likely to truly deliver the goods, though let’s not get too excited yet.

Finally, we have to give props to Keystone and night skiing. If you are in the area, put it on your list of things to do. Compared to other locations in the world, it has considerable vertical and plenty of runs to choose from to stay well clear of the crowds. We can only just imagine how good it would get if there were some fresh flakes falling at the same time!

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
