Braving the crowds on Presidents Day weekend is something for the die hard skier and snowboarder, but today we did exactly that and found somewhere that the lift lines were sparse. Arapahoe Basin really is a hidden gem in the Colorado Rockies right next to the continental divide.
While people fought massive crowds with the tremendous sunshine this morning at the major Colorado resorts, the only busy areas of A-Basin were the tailgating areas of the car parks as people gathered to enjoy good times with great friends.
We got the inside information on tailgating at Arapahoe Basin today as we talk to the people who love to spend time on “the beach”.
Snow is also on the way as moisture moves into Colorado with around a foot expected by Sunday night, though Lake Tahoe continues to get pounded with the storm total at six feet and counting!
