Colorado Breckenridge Snow Report 26th February 2011

Powder at Breckenridge was the name of the game today. The temperatures were below freezing without being uncomfortable keeping recent snowfalls in excellent condition.

At least a foot of superb quality snow sits on the surface in the alpine bowls where it is not wind affected, though is still delightfully wind packed in more exposed areas.

Groomers were also in great condition today and cruising the mountain was an absolute pleasure. It was to be honest impossible to find an even slightly ordinary run today.

We will forgive the lift lines early in the day and the several minute waits on the more popular runs throughout, as the snow would have been worth double the wait time.

If you want to hike or traverse that little bit further, there will be fresh tracks waiting for you tomorrow. We are even expecting an inch or maybe more of new which will perfectly top up the cover for a superb Sunday on the hill.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
