Colorado Breckenridge Snow Report 22nd February 2011

Breckenridge today saw a generous dose of sunshine to accompany the good snow base with the fresh snow from a few days ago.

Although the wind was once again strong up high, once you got out of the exposed areas, you could still find some nice wind blown powder stashes. It was obvious that a lot of the new snow had been blown off the steeper pitches, but all that snow has to end up somewhere and the bottom of the bowls and amongst the trees is where it was found.

Some of the tighter trees offer the best snow quality, as it is better protected on the resort, but you didn’t have to look far today for some fun in the sun.

Tomorrow is expected to be another great day on the hill, with a small storm coming through Colorado and lasting for a few days from Thursday, though the big story is the possibility of a more significant storm from late in the weekend.

For now we will keep our fingers crossed and remember to place the sunscreen on.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
