Breckenridge Snow Report Colorado March 4th 2011

Breckenridge Colorado today delivered the goods. Two to three inches of fresh fell in town overnight, but up high at the resort the numbers were much higher. On this occasion, the 6 inches reported by Breckenridge may have been on the low side. Yes, you heard it, on the LOW side. There was powder in the bowls to make you smile, that is for sure.

The lake chutes, snow white and peak 7 bowl were the pick up high, but you really couldn’t go wrong at all. For the beginners to intermediates, the fresh snow really made good of the groomers, but if you were willing to venture off the beaten track, the rewards were there to be had as well.

Sunshine is expected tomorrow, with plenty of left over powder to be shared around, before the snow comes in again Sunday and stays around until Tuesday. Here’s where the big news is as well, because that big storm is still on the radar and well and truly in the picture as the jet stream starts to move south to run smack bang into Colorado.

Not only is snow due in this coming storm, though there is plenty more snow in the longer term forecast as well, with the storm track looking to park itself in perfect position for a snowy March.

If you are heading to Colorado for Spring Break, start getting excited now!

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
