Ski Resort Conditions and Weather Forecasts

Beaver Creek Snow Report Colorado 1st March 2011

Beaver Creek today felt like we were in Australia again… in Summer! Over 50 degrees is double digits Celsius above freezing and we really made the most of it.

The BBQ’s were cranking and the refreshments were flowing as people enjoyed the fun in the sun. Not that there were many people on the slopes today. The longest lift line we encountered all day was when we had to wait THREE WHOLE CHAIRS!!! I think we lined up for a one chair wait twice and that was that.

Be careful as there are plenty of slick sections on the resort under the groomers (not to mention the Birds of Prey racecourse!!!). Having said that, there was also great spring like conditions to be had in the exposed areas, great bump skiing right across the resort and even some fresh tracks in the trees if you willing to take a creative line.

The forecast is calling for more of the same tomorrow, before another storm rolls through dumping several inches of the fluffy white stuff Thursday through Saturday. Then a break before what could be a “significant” dump late Sunday through early Tuesday. Watch this space.

Enjoyed this? Here’s some other stuff we think you’ll find is awesome too!
